Several people on Wednesday urged members of the Fulton County Commission not to approve a nearly $600,000 contract with an Illinois-based group to review and assess the county’s voter registration and elections operations.
County commissioners had not approved or rejected the proposed contract with this organization, The Elections Group, as of Wednesday evening.
Several residents voiced their displeasure during the public comment portion of Wednesday’s county commission meeting. Several Fulton County residents said, among other things, that the people behind The Elections Group have conflict-of-interest problems and are tied to George Soros, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, and several progressive organizations.
Fulton County resident Bridget Thorne told The Georgia Star News this week that county officials want to hire this consultant to examine, fix, or redo all of the county’s election systems.
“Now they want to hire The Elections Group to come in for a $570,000 contract to come and look and revamp all their systems. I am trying to fight that contract. Fulton County just had an internal audit report,” Thorne said.
“They don’t have standard operating procedures in place in their basic business functions. They don’t just need someone who is an elections consultant. They need someone who can revamp the whole department on every level.”
Staff at The Elections Group did not return The Star News’ request for comment before Wednesday’s stated deadline.
Elections Group staff, according to their website, work with jurisdictions that receive a dramatic increase in mail or absentee ballots during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Gateway Pundit reported in June that The Elections Group founder Jennifer Morrell was “a key component in the Deep State ‘nonprofits’ behind the 2020 Election sham.’”
“Somehow The Elections Group made it into the election process in Fulton County Georgia. We also know per Influence Watch that Morrell worked with the CISA – the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency,” The Gateway Pundit reported.
“This entity claimed the 2020 Election was safe and secure despite piles of information to the contrary. This gives us a hint about Morrell’s political leanings and integrity.”
The Gateway Pundit identified six of The Elections Group’s nonprofit and academic partners, and some of them were reportedly connected to Zuckerberg.
